Read MoreRutland Chamber of Commerce are delighted to announce the recent recruitment of Ben Hovell-Boulton, as the new Membership Experience Executive. Ben has become a crucial member of the team already as we support Rutland businesses to come together, make connections, share knowledge, and grow!
Rutland Chamber of Commerce was formed as part of Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce, which has been supporting businesses for over 130 years. Together, both Chamber of Commerce organisations aim to support businesses across the two counties. This is accomplished through a variety of events and networking opportunities, marketing support, workshops, signposting opportunities, International Trade support and much more.
Ben joins the Chamber team from GOTO Events, where he worked as Event Manager. This involved working collaboratively with businesses and attendees to manage a range of events all over the country, which included working alongside smaller organisations and larger companies, such as Mercedes-Benz Group, Go Compare and the England women’s national football team, the Lionesses!
Ben brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in Business Development and Support, Customer Service, and Strategic Planning. From his time at GOTO Events, Ben has regularly experienced meeting new people, exceeding expectations and putting the client first. Going forwards, his skills will be essential in growing both Rutland and Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce, whilst ensuring members receive the best quality and service.
In his new role as Membership Experience Executive, Ben will work closely with the membership team, including Paul and Oliver, to engage with existing and new members, ensuring they’re getting the most out of their membership. Ben’s role will see a closer working relationship with members and provide a better understanding of their requirements, ultimately improving their experience and ensure they maximise the benefits, connections, and opportunities available.
Ben commented “I strongly believe that Rutland Chamber of Commerce is heading in an exciting direction, and as the company continues to grow and develop, it will provide businesses within the county the necessary support, guidance, and opportunities to grow and succeed, and I’m honoured to be part of this. I look forward to collaborating with the team to plan and deliver various campaigns, benefits, and events that will assist our members”.
“I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to join both Rutland and Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce. It is my primary goal to make sure all members, no matter the size or sector, receive the best experience possible from their membership with us!”
Ben’s hiring comes as Rutland Chamber of Commerce implements plans of strategic growth to expand its offerings and help create a sustainable and connected economy for Rutland businesses, ensuring members are receiving the required support.
Paul Green, Head of Membership at Rutland, and Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce commented “We are thrilled to welcome Ben to the Chamber team and look forward to seeing him work with businesses in Rutland and across Lincolnshire, helping them succeed. Ben has already shown to be an excellent communicator with an impressive level of business sense. His knowledge and skills will be vital as we continue to grow and develop.
“We welcome his new ideas and are confident Ben will apply his experience and passion for the business community to his role, ensuring Rutland and Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce continues to benefit all members, no matter the size or sector.”
Ben added “I look forward to meeting the variety of local businesses, understanding their aims and most importantly, helping them achieve their goals. My diary is open for discussions with all current members!”
