We’re proud to recognise Lincolnshire businesses who work towards a greener future!
Through our Climate Challenge Hub we are calling for local businesses who do great things in support of sustainability, environment and reaching net zero.
Have a look at the case study below and get inspired to make green changes in your workplace too!
TCF Group manufacture a wide range of e-liquids, hand sanitiser, household and pet care items, as well as a range of personal and pharmaceutical products.
Some of the brands that fall under the TCF Group are 888 Vapour and Lincpak.
They have introduced a number of green schemes across their organisation:
Recycling bins
We’ve introduced battery and vape recycling bins into all our 888 Vapour retail stores across the Midlands.
We’re encouraging our customers to pop in and recycle all their batteries, old kits and disposable vapes to help reduce their impact on landfills and the environment. On top of this, we’ve engaged with our customers for Zero Waste Week 2021 by encouraging them to make greener vaping choices, which you can read here.
Recycling at our offices
We work hard to recycle as much as we can across all our facilities. This means we use recyclable packaging and bottles wherever possible, and we recycle all our wooden pallets, paper, suitable plastic and cardboard.
We work with Biffa to ensure all our waste is disposed of correctly and safely, and we hope to improve our system to make us even greener moving forward.
Cycle to work scheme
We offer all our colleagues a Cycle2Work scheme in partnership with Halfords, encouraging our team members to swap their cars for bikes to reduce our commuting emissions.
Ecologi
The climate initiative TCF Group are most proud of as a company is our partnership with Ecologi – an organisation working hard to fight climate change by helping both individuals and businesses minimise their impact on the planet. They achieve this through tree planting schemes, like The Eden Reforestation Project as well as CO² reduction operations, which work to remove more greenhouse gasses than we produce.
Our new partnership will lead to all staff members becoming climate positive, meaning the team’s entire carbon footprint is offset. This includes home emissions, personal and business travel, holidays, food and more.
TCF Group has now been partnered with Ecologi for 4 months, and so far, 2061 trees have been planted in our own forests in Mozambique and Madagascar.
We’ve also offset 128.64 tonnes of CO²e thanks to our contributions towards onshore wind energy projects in Taiwan and old-growth rainforest protection in Peru. This is equivalent to 386 meters² of sea ice saved or 319,156 miles driven in a car.
As a company, we know we still have work to do, but we’re working hard to reduce our carbon footprint wherever possible.
